Our daughter, Greta, has been studying with Ms. Mandy for almost five years and we’ve loved watching her grow as both a dancer and a person. From Tartan Tots as a toddler, to learning to compete at age 4, to now as she learns more complex dances as a Beginner, Greta has developed a love of performing that is a joy to watch. As her parents, we love seeing the confidence and tenacity she is developing week by week as she dedicates herself to this sport. She has to practice, fail and try again, she has to be flexible to dance with different pipers, and be courageous when dancing or competing solo. Having a long-term and trusted relationship with Ms. Mandy makes that all possible. Highland dance is a beautiful connection to our Scottish heritage, but it’s also giving our child gifts that will last a lifetime: confidence, courage, grit and pride.
